What languages does Word Blitz support?

See all 16 Word Blitz languages, how game language affects accepted words, and how to use a multilingual solver while keeping the helper in English.

Short answer

Word Blitz supports 16 languages. Word Blitz AI Helper 2.2.0 adds solving for all 16 in the Facebook browser game. You choose the language inside Word Blitz; the helper keeps its buttons and instructions in English.

Quick hits

  • Game language determines which words belong in the round.
  • The helper works with Facebook Word Blitz in desktop Chrome.
  • Reload the game page after the extension updates.

An English-looking board can belong to a French, Dutch or Hungarian match. Several languages share letters, so looking at the tiles alone is a poor way to decide which dictionary to use.

That distinction matters when you use a solver. A word can fit the grid perfectly and still be wrong for the language of the match.

The 16 supported languages

Lotum lists Word Blitz as available in 16 languages. Its App Store listing names the languages below. We also checked the game's language-specific letter tables when building support for the Facebook solver.

  • English, Czech, Danish and German
  • Greek, Spanish, French and Croatian
  • Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian Bokmål and Dutch
  • Polish, Portuguese, Slovak and Swedish

Choose the language in the game

Set your preferred language in Word Blitz before starting the match you want to solve. Check the language shown on the round itself, especially when returning to an older game. Changing a preference does not prove that an already-open match uses it.

There is no separate dictionary selector in Word Blitz AI Helper. The helper uses the language and word list supplied for the board. Changing Chrome's display language, your operating system language or the language of Facebook is not a substitute for checking the match.

Why we use the word list for each board

A general dictionary answers whether a word exists. A Word Blitz solver also needs to know whether the game includes that word and whether its letters form a legal path on this board.

Version 2.2.0 reads the word list delivered with the round, then finds paths through the visible tiles. That avoids guessing which foreign-language dictionary most closely resembles the game. It also keeps an English fallback from filling a Hungarian round with English suggestions.

French, Greek and Hungarian need different handling

French shares much of its alphabet with English, so an incorrect dictionary can produce plausible-looking results. Greek needs support for Greek characters. Hungarian needs letters such as Ő and Ű to survive board reading without being changed into O or U.

The helper preserves accents when it reads tiles. It follows the spellings supplied by the game instead of imposing one rule about removing accents across every language.

Use the browser version

The extension runs beside Facebook Word Blitz in desktop Chrome. It does not attach to the standalone iPhone or Android app. The game's mobile language list helps identify supported languages, but it does not make a Chrome extension work inside a phone app.

Once version 2.2.0 is installed, reload your Facebook game page and open a fresh round. The setup guide covers opening the side panel and scanning a visible board.

FAQ

Does the helper translate its menus?

No. Its interface stays in English. Multilingual support changes which game words it can solve.

Do I need to download language packs?

No. Version 2.2.0 uses the word list for the current board. If that data is missing, reload the game page and start a round; the helper does not bundle offline dictionaries for every language.
