Word Blitz AI Helper

Privacy policy

What we collect, what stays local, and how we use the data tied to the service.

Last updated: April 4, 2026

Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Code Cowboy Limited handles personal data when you use Word Blitz AI Helper, including the website, the browser extension, account access, paid access, and support requests.

If you have a privacy question, a correction request, or want to ask about deletion, email contact@codecowboy.dev.

What we collect

The service keeps its data surface fairly small, but it does need some account, billing, usage, and support information to work.

  • Account details. If you sign in, we may receive basic profile information from the sign-in provider, such as your email address, display name, avatar, and provider account identifier.
  • Billing records. If you buy access, we store billing-related information such as subscription status, plan, renewal or end date, and customer or subscription identifiers from our payment setup.
  • Usage and access data. We store installation identifiers, session records, limited analytics events, free-unlock history, board identifiers used to enforce access rules, and similar service logs.
  • Support data. If you report a problem or email us, we may receive your email address, the message you send, extension version, timestamp, and any other details you choose to include.
  • Local browser storage. The extension and website may store items in browser storage, such as session tokens, an installation ID, free-access state, and billing-sync state, so the service can keep working between sessions.
  • Advertising measurement data. If you arrive through our ads or use the website, we may receive or store limited attribution data such as Meta browser identifiers like _fbp or _fbc, page URLs, IP address, browser user agent, hashed account identifiers, and subscription or checkout identifiers so we can measure which ads lead to visits or paid subscriptions.

What stays local

A lot of the board-reading and solver behavior happens in your own browser. We do not need your password for Facebook or any other third-party platform.

The extension reads the active board state, letters, and playable word data inside your browser so the solver can work, but that board content is handled locally rather than being sent to us as a support attachment or analytics payload.

We also do not knowingly collect full payment card details. Those are handled by the payment providers involved in checkout.

How we use the data

  • To provide the website, extension, account system, and paid access.
  • To manage sign-in, session security, subscription status, and billing support.
  • To enforce free-access limits and prevent abuse, fraud, and duplicate unlocks.
  • To respond to bug reports, support requests, and operational questions.
  • To keep internal service records and improve stability.
  • To understand which website visits and paid subscriptions came from our ads.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

How data may be shared

We do not treat your data like an ad-tech asset. We may still share limited information with third parties when that is needed to run the service.

  • Identity and authentication providers used for sign-in.
  • Payment processors and billing providers used for subscriptions.
  • Hosting, infrastructure, and operational service providers.
  • Communication or support tools used to receive or manage support requests.
  • Advertising measurement providers such as Meta, limited to conversion attribution and campaign reporting.
  • Authorities, counterparties, or advisors where law or a legitimate legal need requires it.

Some of these providers may process data outside your home jurisdiction.

When we use ad measurement tools, we aim to share the smallest practical set of data needed for attribution, such as hashed identifiers and browser or checkout context rather than raw payment card data.

How long we keep data

We keep data for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the service, manage subscriptions, handle support, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and comply with legal, accounting, or tax obligations. Different records may be kept for different periods depending on what they are for.

Your choices

  • You can stop using the service at any time.
  • You can uninstall the extension and clear local browser storage on your device.
  • You can sign out of your account and cancel future billing through the account or billing flow made available to you.
  • You can email contact@codecowboy.dev to ask about access, correction, or deletion, subject to legal and operational limits.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect service data, but no system is perfect. That means we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

The service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly offer it to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version here and update the date at the top.
